ODS is the first dragstrip constructed EAST of the Mississippi in 1953.  The event is like a high school reunion.  Drags, Car Show, and Drag Racing Heros.  East Coast drag racing started in Manassas, VA in 1953 in the dirt.  This is "THE EVENT" of the Summer.  The place to see old friends.   I have a letter from Geoge Schumpert -  He ran the car at the Grove -- 1969 -  He did the complete flip-over and the engine was on fire when the car flipped back up.  I have the letter - however - I'm attempting to find the negatives so I can reprint. 

I am now in the process of producing a book concerning my photos which I took - I have thousands to draw from - Will be an exciting project for a 70 year old like me
