Where did you hear about us? If online...where online?
How long have you been a race fan?
Tell us about yourself.
Ran my first Street Eliminator win against Shirley Muldowney at Lebanon Valley N.Y. in the summer of 1966. New track opened up in New Hampshire called New England Drag Way in late August of 1966 and officially opened September of 1966. I went undefeated in Street Eliminator for the Inaugural Season of 1966 , beating the likes of Harr Fords A/Sp Cobra (national record holder , winter nationals winner) , Debbs Speed Shop C/Mp 55 Chevy ( national record holder and nationals winner) , Bill Learners A/Msp "53" Vett with an injected 427 ford ( division 1 "Big Car" ) , Pete Tropiano A/G Orangpeal Anglia (running on national record) , and everything else that came my way. "Except my Draft Notice in November of 1966". End of racing Career. Got out of Service in 1970 and lost my "Competitive Spirit for many years". My car was a 1966 Corvette / 327 / 350 HP / running in the D/Sp class on my record in the mid 12's. I was Nick Named "Mr. Hole Shot " as I was right on the edge of the "RED LIGHT". "No one ever took me off the line".
Which other forms of racing do you follow?
I watch NASCAR but not that interested in racing down the straight and turning left. They can make multiple mistakes during a race and still overcome them , compared to Drag Racing "ONE MISTAKE AND YOU GO HOME" !

Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner. I was out of town. Check out Mike McCarthy on the drag racing site here. He was a photographer at New England Dragway. My ole buddy Art Irwin passed away. I will get back to you after the holidays. Keep in touch.
