My name is Beverly Mount Douds, I live in Port St. Joe, Florida and I have published three books so far. (1) Lighthouse Keepers (2) Gulf County and (3) Apalachicola. I do mostly pictorial history books and my publisher is Arcadia Publishing Company out of South Carolina. Now I want to do a book on Race Cars and their drivers, like my Uncle who use to drag race a lot when I was a kid. Our family outings were spent watching Uncle Pete Mount and his Purple Passion. - My Uncle was Pete Mount of Panama City, Florida. We all grew up around cars and trucks. I am now an author and am writing my 3rd book. This one is on the Hisory of Drag & Stock Car Racing. It will be called "Racing Across the Florida Panhandle".
- Which other forms of racing do you follow?
- I am friends of Sol Stewart of Alabama and I grew up with James Finch, My children and lots of my friends are still in the business. we all Love Racing, even motorcyles.
