To Robert Gibson. Your Safety Safari job requires a lot of skill and emotional resilience. I am glad I wasnt where you were that day. I used to shoot photos from the finish line in the old days...at Columbus Springnationals.

I was working for NHRA on the Safety Safari the day we lost Elmer... that was a sad weekend.  RIP Elmer

Amazing proficiency with a nitro fueled motorcycle. Unfortunately lost his life at Indy 96 -- during the same event where we lost top fuel ace Blaine Johnson -- after setting the all time fuel bike records at 6.06, 235.
