I had the great pleasure to be involved in the sponsorship of Bob & Etta in 1984-1986 when I was Motorsports Coordinator for Southland Corp. in Dallas, TX and their 7-Eleven, Chief Auto and CITGO brands. We once considered having Etta build an engine for Kyle Petty in NASCAR during the summer of 1984.
